A guide to choosing an iPad: Air, Pro, Mini, or iPad?
We’ll help you choose an iPad. It will depend on the type of usage you will be doing and also any other devices, whether they are from Apple or not, that you have in your house. Of course, hear us out when we tell you that when buying an iPad, look for the option with the most storage. In the end it is no longer a matter of cost, it is an investment.
It seems incredible, but buying an iPad is harder than ever today. Not because the process isn’t easy, but because choosing a model isn’t so easy anymore. After all, now is the perfect time to buy an iPad, but of course, which one? The new iPad (10th generation) has made things a little more difficult. Not that they aren’t among the best 2022 tablets but a necessary consideration in terms of value for money.
The problem is, on the one hand, the iPad Air 2022 with the M1 is becoming serious competition for the new 11-inch iPad. Pro (although it has an M2 chip) and for the iPad itself. And also because the 2021 8.3-inch iPad mini is still a great buy and the 9th generation iPad shouldn’t go out of style so quickly because it’s still a very good iPad.
Now the big risks are prices and discounts. Soon we’ll guide you about the new models, but first we have to turn you on about the alleged offerings you’ll find in model rebuilds. It makes no sense to buy any iPad below the eighth generation, nor does it make sense to buy an iPad Air 1 or 2, or an iPad Mini 1, 2, 3, and 4. Not just for lack of updates (if you buy an iPad and not a Android, because you intend to go more than five years without spending money on another tablet or because you need it for work) and because you have a low-res screen.
Please note that iPadOS 16 will only run on iPad and iPad mini 5th generation and later, and all iPad Pro models and iPad Air 3rd generation and later. Most likely, Apple will continue to update iPadOS 15 security for devices that can’t switch to the new operating system, but it’s not a good idea to figure out your pocket. But of course, now that the 10th generation iPad starts at $449, and the pocket thing gets complicated, because the 9th generation iPad up to $329 is still an amazing tablet. There’s a $100 dollar difference for the same product (even though, I know, it’s not the same product: a different processor, more inches and a better screen, and a USB-C port).
And wait, the best is yet to come. What do you do with the ‘old’ iPad Pro if you’re on a tight budget? Come on, let’s focus on Apple products today:
iPad: 9th generation (2021)
iPad: 10th generation (2022)
iPad Mini: 6th generation (2021)
iPad Air: 5th generation (2022)
11-inch iPad Pro: 4th generation (2022)
12.9-inch iPad Pro: 6th generation (2022)
Apple iPad Mini, 2021, 6th Generation

Unless you’re going to edit video and photography professionally or unless you’re going to be in front of screens all day, the 2021 iPad mini, with its A15 Bionic processor (yes, the M1 is great, but it’s more than enough for most consumers), is the first choice we. It’s a powerful model and very easy to set up (not because it’s small, but because it’s fun to use). We’ve found that of the entire iPad family, it’s the one that ultimately, we use in our daily lives for leisure (reading, surfing the Internet, and short trips to the office) and work (especially when we’re away from home). The 2021 iPad Mini adapts the iPad Pro design to a small form factor, with a thinner body around the 8.3-inch screen; this is after spending four years without touching the product. We didn’t miss the home button, nor did we want Face ID. iPad Mini supports Apple Pencil (2nd generation), Touch ID integrated into the power button fits like a glove. The USB-C charging port lets you recharge with a MacBook charger.
Apple iPad Air (2022, 5th Generation)

If you have to spend a lot of time in front of the screen, actually the Apple iPad Air is the best iPad if you’re not one of those who need extraordinary features like the 12.9-inch and 1 TB iPad Pro which is Apple’s best tablet (although not for everyone, I know). The new iPad Air has the M1 processor installed, the same as the 2020 MacBook Air, which makes it not a laptop, but a great tablet. 10.9-inch LCD screen, thin size, USB-C port and Touch ID built into the top power button (like a mini)…
Apple 2021 iPad 9th Generation

Before the new 2022 tenth generation iPad with the 2021 ninth generation iPad you will shoot. It is the cheapest (of the new ones). It retains the Lightning port you’re already using. It works with the first-generation Apple Pencil and Apple Smart Keyboard and retains the Touch ID Home button and the thick border around the 10.2-inch screen that fans love so much. Why is this tablet still good? With the A13 Bionic chip. And it’s compatible with Center Stage. So no, it hasn’t become obsolete yet. Stay.
Why not the 2022 Apple iPad, 10th generation?

Not bad, but the price difference to last year’s model doesn’t make it all that appealing. It happens just like the Apple Watch 7 and Apple Watch 8 when you compare them. It incorporates a USB-C port instead of Lightning, so you can also charge it with the same cable you use to charge your MacBook (which always seems like a plus to me). It features Apple’s A14 Bionic chip, the same found in the iPhone 12, which Apple says offers 20 percent faster performance and a 10 percent graphics improvement compared to the ninth-generation model. do with it, I think you are still interested in the previous model. And this model doesn’t support the second-generation Apple Pencil: it only worked with the first-generation pencils, so you’ll need to use an adapter to recharge the pencil as there’s no Lightning port anymore. If you go back to Apple, be aware that the adapter is included if you buy a new, first-generation Apple Pencil, but if you already have one, you will have to pay for the adapter.
Best iPad: Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch 2022, 6th Generation

This is the best iPad, the 12.9-inch iPad is the only iPad that uses Apple’s mini LED display backlight technology. The problem is that due to price and benefits it is not for everyone: it is focused on very specific professional uses related to the handling of images and video (whether it is for design or for research and medicine). The screen is still LCD, but has thousands more LEDs to illuminate the screen. TLDR: better contrast, higher dynamic range and higher brightness; This is the best and essential screen in a tablet designed for video and image editing. Now add in the M2 chip and the same thing I said could be said about the previous 2021 model.
And what about the 2022 11-inch iPad Pro models?
That’s fine, but if you’re going with an iPad Pro, we recommend investing in a 12.9-inch iPad.
